Miss FREDERICK Dies Suddenly
Heart Attack Claims Well Known West End Resident.
For years Miss Barbara FREDERICK ... at a ... hour at her home, 837 Fourth Street, to prepare breakfast for herself and brother, Adolph FREDERICK with whom she made her home and then report for work in the Portsmouth High school cafateria. She arose at her usual hour this morning, but death halted her daily routine.
Mr. FREDERICK became alarmed when his sister didn't come downstairs at her usual time. Going to his sister's room he found Miss FREDERICK in the embrace of death. She had succumbed to a heart attack. She was apparently in her usual health when she retired last night and talked about her plans for today.
Miss FREDERICK would have been 64 years old April 8. she was born and reared in the home in which she died and was a daughter of Isadore and Barbara FREDERICK, pioneer residents of Portsmouth. She is survived by three brothers, Adolph of Fourth Street, Pierce J., of Sixth Street and Frank of Fourth Street and two sisters, Mrs. Jacob HAFNER of Ninth Street and Mrs. C. A. MILLER of Miami, Fla.
Miss FREDERICK was a devout Catholic and a life-long member of the St. Mary's church. She also was a member of the Sodality in the Blessed Virgin and possessed a wide circle of friends in Portsmouth. She was particularly well known in the west end, where she spent all her life in her unostentatious manner. The body will be moved from the Lynn funeral home to the FREDERICK home tonight and friends may view it there.
