John J. was born in May 1885 in , Scioto, Ohio, USA.1 John J.'s father was Charles or Karl BIHL and his mother was Christina SOMMER. His paternal grandparents were Bernard BIHL and Carolina RUDMANN OR RUTHMANN. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles Fredrick, Andrew J., Frank W., Carolina, Ruthmilla, Emma C. and Mary Helen. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 43 on January 25th, 1929 in , Scioto, Ohio, USA.2 General Notes
