John Sturges MARTIN 
John Sturges was born on May 2nd, 1874 in Radley and his baptism took place there on May 17th, 1874. John Sturges' father was Charles MARTIN and his mother was Dora Frances MOBERLY. His paternal grandparents were William MARTIN and Jane CHAMPERNOWNE; his maternal grandparents were George MOBERLY and Mary Anne CROKAT. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Charles Selwyn, Arthur Campbell, William Keble, Richard Harington, Edith Renira, Dora Caroline, Margaret Eleanor and Mary Katharine. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 69 on November 12th, 1943 in Holwell. He was buried in Holwell.General Notes
