Gundred was born about 1063 in , , Normandy, France and her baptism took place in Priory Of Lewes, Lewes, S, England.  Gundred's father was William UNKNOWN and her mother was Matilda DE FLANDERS.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert UNKNOWN and Harlette DE FALAISE; her maternal grandparents were Baudouin UNKNOWN and Adãele UNKNOWN. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Richard, "Rufus", Henry I, Cecilia, Alice Or Adbelahide, Mathilda, Constance, Adaele (Alice), Adela and Agatha.  She was the third youngest of the twelve children.  She died on May 27th, 1085 in Castle Acre, Norfolk, England.  She was buried in Lewes.

‌Gundred and William I were married in a religious ceremony before 1077 in , , Normandy, France.  They had three sons and two daughters, named William II, Reginald, Rainald, Edith and Gundred.
