Henry I was born about September 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place on August 5th, 1100 in , Selby, Yorkshire, England.1   Henry I's father was William UNKNOWN and his mother was Matilda DE FLANDERS.  His paternal grandparents were Robert UNKNOWN and Harlette DE FALAISE; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin UNKNOWN and Adãele UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Robert, Richard, "Rufus", Cecilia, Alice Or Adbelahide, Mathilda, Constance, Adaele (Alice), Adela, Gundred and Agatha.  He was the youngest of the twelve children.  He died on December 1st, 1135 in St. Denis-Le-Fermont, France.  He was buried on January 4th, 1136 in Reading Abbey.2 2
