Mary Elizabeth was born on October 9th, 1864 in Payson, , Utah. Mary Elizabeth's father was William Charles WIGHTMAN and her mother was Lucretia Jane PEPPER. Her paternal grandparents were William WIGHTMAN and DOLLY EATON; her maternal grandparents were George Harrison PEPPER and Jane DIXON. She had twelve brothers and three sisters, named William Charles, David MORONI, ROY, George, Henry, Lyman Eaton, Harrison PEPPER, CZAR Raymond, Frank LYNVILLE, TENNYSON, Ben ROLLA, VALENTINE, Martha Jane, Lucretia Anna and Ethel ESTELL. She was the fifth oldest of the sixteen children.-
