Her paternal grandparents were Steven Coerte Van Voorhees and Willempie Roslofse Seubering; her maternal grandparents were Minne Joannes Schenck and Rensje FEDDES. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Minne Lucusse, Albert Lucasz, Roelof Lucasse, Reinsche and Willemptje Lucasse. She was the oldest of the six children.-
