John Sims

John was born on March 1st, 1812 and his baptism took place in Wotton-Under-Edg, Gloucs, ENGLAND.  John's father was Samuel Sims and his mother was Sophia COUSINS.  His paternal grandparents were John Sims and Elizabeth Ponting; his maternal grandparents were Robert Cousins and Elizabeth Cobb. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Anthony, James, George, Hannah and Rhoda.  He was the third oldest of the six children.
