Benjamin was born on August 21st, 1730 in Attleboro, Bristol, MA. Benjamin's father was Daniel READ and his mother was Elizabeth IDE. His maternal grandfather was Timothy IDE. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, Noah, Samuel, Daniel, Ebenezer, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Abigail, Rachel and Thankful. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 68 on September 7th, 1798 in Prob Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts. He was buried in September 1798.General Notes
