Willempie was born on January 21st, 1753 in Harlingen, Somerset, NJ. Willempie's father was Johannes Nevius and her mother was Jannet Cornelis (Cornelius). Her paternal grandparents were Martinis (Martin) Nevius and Willemptje Lucasse Van Voorhees. She had a brother and a sister, named Martynes (Martin) and Femmetje.
