Ida Catherine was born on May 10th, 1889 in Mathias, Hardy, WV. Ida Catherine's father was Silas Pierce JENKINS and her mother was Mary Catherine May. Her paternal grandparents were William Wallace JENKINS and Virginia SHERMAN; her maternal grandparents were James M. May and Catherine MOYER. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Ira BROWN, James Wallace, Silas Lorenzo, Zina Virginia, Rosa May, Mary Ann and Martha VELMA. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 71 on December 31st, 1960.-
