Henry was born about 1346 in Park Hall, Warwickshire, England and his baptism took place in Curdworth, Sulgrave, Warwickshire, England. Henry's father was Ralph De Arden and his mother was Isabella De Bromwich. His paternal grandparents were Ralph De Arden and Alicia De Beauchamp; his maternal grandparents were Anselme De Bromwich and Alice UNKNOWN. He had three brothers named John, Thomas and Ralph.
