Thomas was born about 1205 in Draiton, Oxon, England. Thomas' father was William De Arden and his mother was Rose UNKNOWN. His paternal grandparents were Henry Arden and Olivia UNKNOWN. He had a brother and a sister, named William and Joan. He was the oldest of the three children.
