John FitzRichard Clavering was born about 1144 in Clavering, Essex, England. John FitzRichard Clavering's father was Richard FitzEustace Clavering de Lacy and his mother was Albreda (Aubrey) de Lisoures. His paternal grandparents were Eustace Fitzjohn Clavering de Lacy and Matilda Agnes FitzNigel; his maternal grandparents were Robert de Lisoures and Albreda de Lacy. He had a brother and three sisters, named Roger FitzRichard Clavering, Aubrey, Mary FitzRichard Clavering and Albreda FitzRichard. He was the oldest of the five children. He died on October 11th, 1190 in Palestine.-
