Mary (Mollie) was born on November 15th, 1730 in Gloucester, Virginia. Mary (Mollie)'s father was Samuel Pryor and her mother was Prudence Thornton. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Pryor and Elizabeth Virginia Green; her maternal grandparents were William Jr. Thornton and Prudence Willis. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Robert, William, Francis (Frank), Joseph, Samuel, Luke, Thornton, John, Martha and Nancy. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.-
