Mae Edith was born on June 25th, 1913 in Fertile, Polk, Minnesota.  Mae Edith's father was Clark Baker Goodale and her mother was Anna Christine Witty.  Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Goodale and Phoebe Elvira Nichols; her maternal grandparents were Henrich (Henry) Witty and Maria (Mary) Hardt. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Arthur Lloyd, Earl Henry, Clarence Marvin, Bessie Elvira, Eva Mable, Lucy Ermin and Ella Pauline.  She was the youngest of the eight children.

‌Mae Edith and Clarence Perry were married in a religious ceremony on January 27th, 1936.  They had a son and a daughter, named Living and Living.

‌Mae Edith and Truman B. were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1947 in Pamaroy, Washington.
