Frauke (Kate) was born on March 29th, 1874 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Frauke (Kate)'s father was Aalderk Jochums Eikamp and her mother was Klaaske (Clara) Smidt. Her maternal grandparents were Jakob Heijen Gerdes Smidt and Frauke (Fanny) DeGrave. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, Johann (John), Johann (John), Alderk, Anna Dorothea Marie and Clara. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 91 on April 19th, 1965 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois.-
