Irene Annette was born on November 8th, 1906 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Irene Annette's father was Benjamin Buss and her mother was Frauke (Kate) Eikamp. Her paternal grandparents were Hinderk (Henry) Jacob Buss and Maggie Alberts; her maternal grandparents were Aalderk Jochums Eikamp and Klaaske (Clara) Smidt. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Harry Samuel, Benjamin Alvin, Lillian Clara and Esther Martha. She was the second youngest of the five children.-
