Alderk Eikamp 
Alderk was born on April 7th, 1879 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Alderk's father was Aalderk Jochums Eikamp and his mother was Klaaske (Clara) Smidt. His maternal grandparents were Jakob Heijen Gerdes Smidt and Frauke (Fanny) DeGrave. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, Johann (John), Johann (John), Anna Dorothea Marie, Frauke (Kate) and Clara. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 54 on March 24th, 1934 in Bancroft, Kingsbury, South Dakota. He was buried in Spirit Lake Prsy Church Cem, De Smet, Kingsbury, South Dakota.-
