William I was born in 1143 in Scotland.  William I's father was Henry de Huntington Prince of Scotland and his mother was Ada de Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I of Scotland and Maud Matilda de Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William II de Warenne Sir and Isabel De Vermandois. He had two brothers and three sisters, named David, Malcolm IV, Ada, Marjory and Margaret. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William, David, David, Malcolm IV, Ada, Matilda, Margaret and Marjory.  He died at the age of 71 on December 4th, 1214 in Sterling,Stirlingshire,Scotland.  He was buried on December 10th, 1214 in Abbey Arbroath,Angusshire,Scotland.
