Matilda Countess of was born about 1031 in Flanders,France.  Matilda Countess of's father was Baudouin V of Flanders and her mother was Adele (Alix) of France.  Her paternal grandparents were Baudouin IV of Flanders and Otgive De Luxembourg; her maternal grandparents were Robert II "the Pious" of France and Constance DeToulouse.  She was an only child.  She died on November 2nd, 1083 in Caen,Calvados,France.  She was buried in Holy Trinity Abbey,Caen,France.
