Rebecca Sloan 
Rebecca was born in 1831 in Crawford County,Indiana. Rebecca's father was James Guy Sloan and her mother was Marthena Sands. Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Sloan and Rebecca Guy; her maternal grandparents were Robert Sands and Zipora Sawyer. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William Willshire, Milson Hartland, Harrison Tyler, George Washington, Zipporah, Elvira and Mary. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 40 in 1871.-
