Harrison Tyler Sloan 
Harrison Tyler was born in 1839 in Crawford County,Indiana. Harrison Tyler's father was James Guy Sloan and his mother was Marthena Sands. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Sloan and Rebecca Guy; his maternal grandparents were Robert Sands and Zipora Sawyer. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William Willshire, Milson Hartland, George Washington, Zipporah, Elvira, Rebecca and Mary. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 43 in 1882.-
