William Willshire Sloan 
William Willshire was born in 1826 in Crawford County,Indiana. William Willshire's father was James Guy Sloan and his mother was Marthena Sands. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Sloan and Rebecca Guy; his maternal grandparents were Robert Sands and Zipora Sawyer. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Milson Hartland, Harrison Tyler, George Washington, Zipporah, Elvira, Rebecca and Mary. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 36 on July 7th, 1862 in Civil War death--Battle of Round Hill. He was buried in Arkansas----Captain.-
