John May 
John was born in 1782 in Washington County,Tennessee. John's father was Cassimore May and his mother was Mary Horne. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Peter, Adam, Samuel, Barnabas (Barnes), David, Elizabeth (Betsey), Mary and Catherine "Caty". He was the oldest of the ten children. He died about 1850 in Vermillion County,Indiana.
John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on June 23rd, 1837 in Vermillion County,Indiana.
