Matthew BECKWITH

Matthew was born on April 13th, 1667 in Guilford,Middlesex,Ct and his baptism took place on September 10th, 1671. Matthew's father was Matthew (Mathew) BECKWITH and his mother was Mrs. Elizabeth BECKWITH. His paternal grandparents were Matthew (Mathew) BECKWITH and Elizabeth (Mary) LYNDE; his maternal grandparents were Peter TALLMAN and Anne HILL. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, James, Jonah, Griswold, John, Prudence, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ruth and Sarah. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died at the age of 73 on June 4th, 1740 in Lyme,New London,Ct. He was buried in ,,Conn.
