Marie-Josephe was born on March 15th, 1787 in Ste-Genevieve-DE-Berthier, Quebec Province, Canada.1 Marie-Josephe's father was Pierre Bidegaret Dit Rousselots and her mother was Marie-Rose Genereux. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Bidegaret and Marie Yoretche; her maternal grandparents were Louis Genereux and Marie-Rose Latour Dit Laforge. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Joseph-Pierre-Louis Bidaguin Dit St-Martin, Louis, Francois, Pierre, Francois-Benoni, Nicolas, Marie-Rose, Marie-Josephe, Marie-Louise and Genevieve. She was the youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother named Joseph.-
