Francois Pelletier 
Francois was born about 1636 in Chartres, Beauce, France.1 Francois' father was Nicolas Pelletier and his mother was Jeanne De Vouzy. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Nicolas, Jean, Marie, Louise, Francoise, Jeanne and Genevieve. He had a half-brother named Francois. He died before July 9th, 1697 in Dautray, Quebec, Quebec.1 General Notes

Came to Canada as a young boy with his parents. In about 1669 he moved his family from Sillery up the St. Lawrence to Sorel. On October 22, 1675, before Becquet, the Royal Notary of Quebec, Francois Pelletier boiught a seigneurie from Philippe Gauthier de Comporte consisting of "half a league of land fronting (on the river) by one league in depth ...with the Ile aux Foings". This fief and seigneurie were located between Lanoraie and Berthier.
Francois and Dorothee were married in a religious ceremony in April 1660 in Tadoussac, Saguenay, PQ, Canada.

Francois and Marguerite-Madeleine were married in a religious ceremony on September 26th, 1661 in Sillery, Quebec, PQ, Canada.1 They had three sons and five daughters, named Francois, Michel, Pierre, Marie-Angelique, Genevieve, Catherine Dit Antaya, Elisabeth and Louise.

Genevieve was born on March 16th, 1668 in Sillery, Quebec.1 She died after 1716.1

Catherine Dit Antaya was born in 1672 in Quebec, Quebec.1 She died at the age of 71 on January 27th, 1743 in Nicolet, Quebec.1
