Baron Roger de Mortimer 
Roger was born in 1221 in Cwmaron Castle, Radnorshire, Wales. Roger's father was Lord Ralph de Mortimer and his mother was Gwladys (Dark Eyed) verch Llewelyn. His paternal grandparents were Lord Roger Mortimer and Isabel Ferrers; his maternal grandparents were Prince Llewellyn (The Great) ap Lorwerth and Tangwystyl Verch Llywarch. He was an only child. He died at the age of 61 on October 27th, 1282 in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. He was buried on October 27th, 1282.General Notes
