Mahaut (Maud) of Louvaine was born about 1006 in , Louvain, Brabant, Belgium.  Mahaut (Maud) of Louvaine's father was Ct. Lambert I of Louvaine (The bearded) and her mother was Gerberge of L Lorraine.  Her paternal grandparents were Ct. Regnier III of Hainault and Adele or Alix of Dagsbourg; her maternal grandparents were Duke Charles of Lower Lorraine and Adelheid.  She was an only child.  She died about 1049.
