Lambert I of Louvaine, known as The bearded, was born about 0960 in Louvaine, Brabant, Belgium.  The bearded's father was Ct. Regnier III of Hainault and his mother was Adele or Alix of Dagsbourg.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Regnier II of Hainault and Adelaideof Bourgogne; his maternal grandparents were Ct. Lambert of Louvaine and of Bethune. He had a brother named Regnier IV of Hainault.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother named The bearded.  He died on September 12th, 1015 in Florennes battle.


The bearded's family with Gerberge of L Lorraine

‌The bearded and Gerberge of L Lorraine were married in a religious ceremony about 0990.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Baudry, Henri I of Louvaine, Mahaut (Maud) of Louvaine and Landradeof Louvaine.
