Louis I, known as The debonaire, was born on April 16th, 0778 in Herbet, Casseneuil, Lot-et-Garonne, France.  The debonaire's father was Emperor Charlemagne Hre and his mother was Hildegardeof Schwaben.  His paternal grandparents were King Pepin III of Franks (Le bref -The short) and Bertrade(Bertha) of Laon (Bertha Broadfoot); his maternal grandparents were Duke Gerold I of Swaben and Imma (Emma) of Allemania. He had two brothers and a sister, named Charles of Aachen, Pepin of Italy and Bertha. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Charles of Aachen, Hugo, Duodene of France, Alpais (Adaltrude), Duodene of France and Alpais (Adaltrude).  He died at the age of 62 on April 30th, 0840 in Ingelheim, Rhinehessen, Hesse.  He was buried on June 20th, 0840 in Aachen, Rheinland, Preussen.


The debonaire's first family with Ermengardeof Hasbaigne

‌The debonaire and Ermengardeof Hasbaigne were married in a religious ceremony in 0798.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Lothair I, Ludwig II of E Franks, Ludwig II of E Franks, Hildegardeof France and Hildegardeof France.


The debonaire's second family with Jutta of Bayern

‌The debonaire and Jutta of Bayern were married in a religious ceremony in February 0819.  They had a son and two daughters, named The bald, Gisele of Hre and Gisele of Hre.
