Hedwig of Normandy was born about 0970 in ,Normandy, France.  Hedwig of Normandy's father was Duke Richard I of Normandy (The Fearless) and her mother was Gunnora of Crepon.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Guillaume I of Normandy and Sporta (Adela) of Senlis; her maternal grandparents were King Harald II Gormsson of denmark (Bluetooth) and Gunhilda Olafsdatter. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Godfroi of Eu & Brionne, The good, Robert of Evreux, Guillaume I of Eu Hiesmes, Mauger of Normandy, Godfroi fitz Richard of Brionne, Murella of Normandy, Beatrix of Normandy, Aelgifu (Emme) of Normandy, Mathilda (Maud) of Normandy and Mathilda (Maud) of Normandy. She had a half-sister named Frasenda or Frederina of Normandy.  She died on February 21st, 1034.  She was buried in Rennes, Bretagne, France.
