Richard was born about 1186 in Chilham Castle, Kent, England.  Richard's father was King John "Lackland" King of England and his mother was Lady De Warenne Plantagenet.  His paternal grandparents were Henry II England "Curtmantle" and Eleanor of Aquitaine; his maternal grandparents were Earl Hamelin Plantagenet-de Warenne and Isabel de Warenne. He had eight brothers named Richard, Richard de, Eudo, Geofrey, Henry, Ivo, John and Richard. He had twenty-two half-brothers and twenty half-sisters, named Richard, Henry III King, Henry III of, Richard of, Richard I, Richard Prince of, Henry III, Richard , Earl, Henry III King of, Richard Plantagenet, King Of England Henry III, Geoffrey, Robert, Richard, Richard FitzJohn Baron, Osbert, Oliver, Richard de, Richard, Eudo, Ivo, Richard, Joan Makepeace of, Joane Princess of, Isabella of, Isabel Princess of, Eleanorof, Eleanor Princess of, Eleanor Princess Of England, Eleanor, Isabella, Joan Princess of, Elizabeth Empress of, Eleanor Princess of, Joanna, Isabel, Eleanor Princess Of England, Joan, Isabel, Isabel La, Joan and Richard Of Dover Baron Of Chilham.  He died on August 6th, 1270.
