Raoul I, Count was born about 1073 in Of,Valois,Bretagne,France.  Raoul I, Count's father was Hugh "The Great" of Crepi Count of Vermandois and his mother was Adelaide, Countess Of Vermandois.  His paternal grandparents were Henri I of France and Anastasia Jaroslawna of Kiev; his maternal grandparents were Herbert IV Count Vermandois and Adele Vexin de Valois. He had seven brothers and nine sisters, named Ralph Capet de Crépi, Henri Capet, Henry Lord Of, Simon De, Guillaume Capet de, William De, Son De, Agnes De, Constance De, Maud Capet de, Maud Capet, Beatrix De, Isabel De Crepi, Elizabeth Capet de, Daughter De and Alice. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hughes III Candavene and Marguerite.  He died on October 14th, 1152.  He was buried in St Arnoul,Crepy.
