Constance De was born about 1069 in Of,Valois,Bretagne,France.  Constance De's father was Hugh "The Great" of Crepi Count of Vermandois and her mother was Adelaide, Countess Of Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Henri I of France and Anastasia Jaroslawna of Kiev; her maternal grandparents were Herbert IV Count Vermandois and Adele Vexin de Valois. She had eight brothers and eight sisters, named Ralph Capet de Crépi, Raoul I, Count, Henri Capet, Henry Lord Of, Simon De, Guillaume Capet de, William De, Son De, Agnes De, Maud Capet de, Maud Capet, Beatrix De, Isabel De Crepi, Elizabeth Capet de, Daughter De and Alice. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hughes III Candavene and Marguerite.
