Gertrude of was born about 1030 in Of Schweinfurt,Unterfranken,Bavaria.1   Gertrude of's father was Bernhard II Duke of Saxony and her mother was Eilika Margravine Of Schweinfurt.  Her paternal grandparents were Bernard I (Benno) Duke of Saxony and Hildegarde von Stade; her maternal grandparents were Heinrich I, Markgraf von Schweinfurt and Gerberge von Gleiberg. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Ordulf Duke of, Hermann Prince of, Hermann, Ide (Relinde) and Hedwig of. She had a half-sister named Ita von.  She died on August 4th, 1089.1 


Gertrude of's first family with Florent (Florens) I of Holland

‌Gertrude of and Florent (Florens) I of were married in a religious ceremony about 1050.2   They had four sons and five daughters, named Albrecht, Count of, Dirk V, Count, Peter, Count of, Floris, Count of, Bertha van, Bertha of, Machteld, countess of, Adela OR Christina, and Alheidis van.


Gertrude of's second family with Robert I of Flanders

‌Gertrude of and Robert I of were married in a religious ceremony in 1063.2   They had a son and two daughters, named Robert II, Comte de, Adèle of and Gertrude of.
