Gertrude of was born about 1065 in Flanders,Belgium.  Gertrude of's father was Robert I of Flanders and her mother was Gertrude of Saxony.  Her paternal grandparents were Baudouin V "The Pious" Count of Flanders and Adele France; her maternal grandparents were Bernhard II Duke of Saxony and Eilika Margravine Of Schweinfurt. She had a brother and a sister, named Robert II, Comte de and Adèle of. She had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Albrecht, Count of, Dirk V, Count, Peter, Count of, Floris, Count of, Bertha van, Bertha of, Machteld, countess of, Adela OR Christina, and Alheidis van.  She died in 1117.

‌Gertrude of and Henri III, Comte de were married in a religious ceremony about 1086.  They had a daughter named Adelheid de.


Gertrude of's second family with Thierry II (Dietrich) Duc D' Alsace et Lorraine

‌Gertrude of and Thierry II (Dietrich) Duc D' Alsace et were married in a religious ceremony about 1100.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Dietrich II (Thierry II) de, Thierry, Pétronille (or Gertrude) de and Petronilla.
