Ada de was born in 1146 in of Huntingdon,Huntingdonshire,Scotland.  Ada de's father was Henry of Scotland and her mother was Ada De Warenne.  Her paternal grandparents were St. David I King of Scotland and Matilda (Maud) of Northumbria; her maternal grandparents were William II De Warenne and Isabel De Crepi De Vermandois. She had four brothers and six sisters, named William I "The Lion" King Of, David, David of, Malcolm IV the Maiden King of, Aufrica, Marjory Princess of, Margaret of, Margaret, Isabella and Maud. She had a half-brother named Waleran De.


Ada de's first family with Floris III "The Crusader" Count of Holland

‌Ada de and Floris III "The Crusader" Count of were married in a religious ceremony in 1162.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Guillaume III Cnt of, Dirk VII and Princess Margarete of.
