David was born in 1144 in Huntingdon,Huntingdonshire,England.1   David's father was Henry of Scotland and his mother was Ada De Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were St. David I King of Scotland and Matilda (Maud) of Northumbria; his maternal grandparents were William II De Warenne and Isabel De Crepi De Vermandois. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named William I "The Lion" King Of, David of, Malcolm IV the Maiden King of, Aufrica, Ada de, Marjory Princess of, Margaret of, Margaret, Isabella and Maud. He had a half-brother named Waleran De.  He died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1219 in Jedburgh,Roxburghshire,Scotland.  He was buried in Abbey of Saltre,Huntingtonshire,England.1

‌David and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1190 in of Scotland.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Robert, John Scott, Margaret, Matilda, Ada and Isabelle.
