Margaret was born about 1177 in Abergavenny,,Wales. Margaret's father was William De Braiose and her mother was Maud De St. Walerie. Her paternal grandparents were William De Braiose and Bertha de Pîtres of Gloucester; her maternal grandfather was Reginald de St. Valery. She had twelve brothers and six sisters, named Robert, Roger, Reginald , Baron Abergavenny, Thomas, William, Walter, Hugh, Henry, Bernard, Fulk, Phlilp, John, Flandrina, Matilde, Joan, Giles, Laurette and Eleanor. She died on November 19th, 1200.-
