William E. Summerlin 
William E. was born on March 8th, 1842 in Montgomery Co., AL.1 William E.'s father was Smith Summerlin and his mother was Martha A. Spradley. His maternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Columbus M., Bryant J., Marilda, Louisa E., Jane and Rachel M.. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Thomas Lawrence, Sarah Malinda, Barbara Ann Lucinda Elizabeth and Georgana Frances Victoria. He died at the age of 83 on August 8th, 1925 in Crenshaw Co., AL. He was buried in Live Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery, Patsburg, Crenshaw Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
