Ellis Harrison was born in September 1890 in Shelby Co., AL.1 Ellis Harrison's father was James Bryant Spradley and his mother was Henrietta Lieucya Johnson. His paternal grandparents were John William Spradley and Nancy Blackman. He had six brothers and nine sisters, named Hugh Elgin, William Melvin Bryant, John Franklin, James Dixon, Albert Almouth, Charles, Nancy Lee, Sweeie Henretta, Louisa Josephine, Essie Mae, Bertha Elizabeth, Virginia, Flora, Allie May and Ellie. He was the seventh oldest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 70 on February 25th, 1961 in Waylan, Birmingham, AL. He was buried in Valhalla Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.1 1 -
