Washington Lee Skinner

Washington Lee was born on March 17th, 1819 in Clarksville, Robertson County, Tennessee.¹   Washington Lee's father was Josiah S. Skinner and his mother was Leah Garrett.  His paternal grandparents were Emanuel Skinner and Elizabeth Moore; his maternal grandfather was Stanford L. Garrett. He had two brothers and a sister, named Josiah Washington, James John and Mary Ann.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named William, Chaurstory, Letitia, Shany, Rebecca, Pamela, Lydia, Martha, Bathsheba and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 66 on December 15th, 1885.¹ 

‌Washington Lee and Martha Eleanor were married in a religious ceremony on July 31st, 1857.²
