John McDonald Rushing 
John McDonald was born on September 4th, 1883 in Pike Co., AL.1 John McDonald's father was Henry Oscar Rushing and his mother was Margaret R. Baely. His paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William David, Henry Oscar, Jr., Walter S., Joseph C. Seph Thomas, Samuel Randolph, Sallie Augustus, Mary Ester, Louella, Claudia Lee and Sugie. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. "Services Set For J. M. Rushing
J. M. Rushing age 76 of Ansley Route 2 died in a local hospital
Monday night. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00
o'clock at the Hales Chapel with Rev. Ed Hargrove officiating. Burial
will follow in the church cemetery. McGehee Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include the widow Mrs. Eula Spivey Rushing of Ansley Route 2.
Six sons, Mitchell, Carter, Frank and Reynolds Rushing of Ansley Route 2;
James Rushing, Greenville, Miss. and John Henry Rushing of Birmingham.
Six daughters, Mrs. Sara Barker, Fort Benning, Ga.; Mrs. Mae Graves of
Warner Robbins, Ga.; Mrs. Emily Redmon, Columbus, Ga.; Mrs. Margaret
Wilkes of Birmingham; Mrs. Mary Motes and Mrs. Shirley Renfroe of Troy.
22 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Oscar Rushing,
Atmore and Tom Rushing of Ansley, Route 2. One sister Miss Claudie Lee
