Sallie Augustus was born on January 12th, 1877 in AL.1 Sallie Augustus' father was Henry Oscar Rushing and her mother was Margaret R. Baely. Her paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William David, Henry Oscar, Jr., Walter S., John McDonald, Joseph C. Seph Thomas, Samuel Randolph, Mary Ester, Louella, Claudia Lee and Sugie. She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 72 in 1949.1 -
