J. C. Rushing 
J. C. was born on January 20th, 1902 in Pike Co., AL.1 J. C.'s father was Joseph Johnston Rushing and his mother was Ella Melissa Spradley. His paternal grandparents were John Eager Howard Rushing and Eliza Jane Jenerett; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Anderson Spradley and Avarilla Cathrine Castellaw. He had three brothers and two sisters, named George Dewey, Albert, Duard Moody, Mary Kate and Foye. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 22 on August 5th, 1924 in Pike Co., AL. He was buried in Goodhope Baptist Church Cemetery, Pike Co., AL.1 1 -
