George Dewey Rushing 
George Dewey was born on July 22nd, 1898 in Pike Co., AL.1 George Dewey's father was Joseph Johnston Rushing and his mother was Ella Melissa Spradley. His paternal grandparents were John Eager Howard Rushing and Eliza Jane Jenerett; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Anderson Spradley and Avarilla Cathrine Castellaw. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Albert, J. C., Duard Moody, Mary Kate and Foye. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at 9 months old on April 23rd, 1899 in Pike Co., AL.
