His paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing; his maternal grandparents were Edward Wilson and Mary Ann Goodwin. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James R., J. Henry, Guss D., Richard R., William B., George, Nettie Mary and Jessie. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named Joe. He died in ?.1 -
