Catherine MATHEWS 
Catherine was born about 1788 in Birch, Hongaren, Herefordshire, England.1 Catherine's father was WILLIAM MATTHEWS and her mother was SUSANNA BENNETT. Her maternal grandparents were JOHN BENNETT and SUSANNA TOWER. She had a brother and four sisters, named Thomas, SUSANNAH, Betsy, Nancy and Mary. She was the youngest of the six children.
